Dr Lovell is a highly credentialled Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician, clinical researcher and Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians and Sports Medicine Australia. Greg has extensive experience in high-performance sport including professional football codes, Olympic sports and 15 years at the Australian Institute of Sport. Greg’s roles have involved Team Physician in the AFL, at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and 2014 Commonwealth Games. Dr Lovell is a recognised world leader on groin problems in athletes with an extensive clinical and research track record. Greg is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Canberra and continues to teach sports physician trainees and conduct research. In addition to his expertise on groin problems, Dr Lovell has a specific interest and experience in athletes with bone stress injuries. He is currently involved in research with Cricket Australia.
